My New Fave: Snejana Onopka

These are some photos of Ukrainian model Snejana Onopka from French label Isabel Marant's Spring 2011 Collection.  I really like Snejana's look, very striking yet her poses seem effortless.

Chic and Warm in Burberry

Chic and Warm in Burberry

Burberry knows how to make pieces that are classic without being boring. Their winter collection looks chic yet cozy and functional. I love the leather strappy boots and the classic grey plaid scarf.

Candice Swanepoel for Victoria's Secret 2010 Holiday Collection

South African model Candice Swanepoel looks absolutely beautiful in the Victoria's Secret Holiday 2010 campaign.  It wouldn't be Victoria's Secret without their famous sexy photoshoots! The pieces in this line range from about 20-70 dollars and are available in stores and online at victoriassecret.com

Easy Style: The Sweater Dress

Easy Style: The Sweater Dress
Sweater dresses are one of the easiest ways to look great with minimal effort this winter. They save you the work of having to match tops with bottoms and keep you warm at the same time! There are so many options, but I like to keep it neutral and mix with accessories and makeup that stand out. Try pairing one with thick, opaque tights and your favourite boots!

Look I'm loving: Messy Sidebraids

Look I'm loving: Messy Sidebraids
I've been noticing messy sidebraids everywhere lately and I think they're so feminine and pretty.  If you're going to try this look make sure to keep the braid low to ensure they look more equestrian and less 80's.

Leighton Meester: Marie Claire UK Photoshoot

I've always thought Leighton Meester was pretty, but these photos really highlight her best features.  The red lips against her porcelain skin in the second to last photo is really beautiful...I also think the highlights are a nice yet subtle change.  very pretty!

Rihanna Marie Claire UK December Cover Girl

It's nice to see Rihanna moving on from her tough chick image and looking pretty and feminine on the cover of Marie Claire UK December issue.  She looks stunning and I'm in love with the glitzy dress in the second photo...perfect for the holiday season!

My new favourite: Jun Hasegawa

Jun Hasegawa is a Japanese American model and actress who is on the cover of some of Asia's most popular magazines including ViVi which is one of my favourites!  I love her look, very versatile and fun!

TRASHTASTIC!- Katie Price AKA Jordan

Isn't this what everyone wears to a book signing???  I still haven't decided if I'm inspired or disgusted by this outfit.  The trashiness is so extreme that it's kind of charming.  gtg... I have a sparkly blue stripper costume to purchase...

Anja Rubik: Barbie Hair

Anja Rubik's hair looks amazing in the November issue of Vogue Russia.  It reminds me of barbie hair, so, so pretty!

Natural Beauty: Radiant, Healthy Skin

Natural Beauty: Radiant, Healthy Skin

Taking care of your skin from the inside is essential for a radiant glow on the outside.  Here are some of my favourite things to get Natasha Poly-like perfect skin:

Spinach- green foods are full of antioxidants and give you the nourishment and vitamins to make your skin and whole body function at its best.

Udo's Oil:  I take a few tablespoons of the actual oil before meals, but it does come in capsule form as pictured above.  Essential fatty acids are called that for a reason: they're essential! They play a significant role in the structure of every cell and maintaining impermeability barrier of the skin.

Cetaphil:  non-irritating and uncented.  Even though I try to use organic skin care, I do really like Cetaphil, it makes my skin feel so moisturized.

Yoga: Oxegenates all of your cells including your skin.  There's a yoga glow that I get after I finish a class or DVD, it must be all the blood pumping through the body.

Water: We all know a minimum of 8 glasses of water a day keeps your entire body including skin hydrated and healthy.

Rosehip oil:  I use a tiny amount as an undereye treatment, its so gentle, I love it.

Nuts:  Nuts are a great snack which provide you with healthy fats which nourish your skin.

Invisible Zinc:  This is one of my favourite sunscreens, I think it is currently unavailable in North America, but I hope they start selling it here soon.  Zinc is a physical barrier which provides better protection than chemical sunscreens and is usually less irritating.

Look I'm Loving: Camilla Belle's Brows

Look I'm Loving: Camilla Bell's Brows

I've always loved the look of full brows, but Camila Belle takes it to another level. Her dark, very defined and thick brows frame her face beautifully and make all of her features look even more striking. If you're interested in trying a similar look, I suggest Anastasia products available at Sephora. I really like the the perfect brow pencil in Brunette.

my new favourite: Lindsey Wixson

16-year-old Lindsey Wixson is an up-and-coming model from Kansas who is already number 14 on models.com list of top 50 female models.  Her unique features, including pouty lips and a gap in her teeth really make her stand out of the crowd.  You can see her on the runways and ad campaigns for Prada, Versace and Miu Miu.

Crazy Fashion: Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

To be honest, this is probably one of the ugliest outfits I've ever seen.  I'm pretty sure Victoria's Secret model Candice Swanepoel is the only person who can pull this off...ok maybe Lady Gaga also.

Natural Beauty: Aspirin Mask for Glowing Skin

When I first heard about this, I thought it sounded kinda strange... but oh my gosh it works.  The aspirin mask leaves your skin exfoliated and feeling so smooth.  For more info, check out the Michelle Phan youtube tutorial video below.

How to make an Aspirin mask:

  1) crush 3-4 uncoated asprin tablets and add a small amount of water so that the aspirin makes a paste.

  2) Mix with a tiny bit of honey to coat the asprin paste.

  3) Apply to clean skin and leave for 5-10 minutes.

  4) Rinse off with luke warm water.

Your skin might feel a little bit tingly afterwards, but it should be very smooth because of the removal of the dead skin cells.
